PARENTS & PRE-SCHOOL
We believe that parents are children’s first educators. By building strong partnerships with parents we can have a positive effect on children’s learning. The aim of the group is to support all parents in their essential work.
We will:
Make all new parents aware of the group’s systems and policies.
Encourage parents on an individual basis to play an active part in the management of the group by:
Ensure that parents are informed on a regular basis about their child’s progress through regular liaison with child’s keyperson and the child's learning diary.
Ensure that all parents have opportunities to contribute from their own skills, knowledge and interests to the sessional activities within the group.
Ensure that all parents are fully informed about meetings, conferences, workshops and training.
Hold all meetings in an accessible venue for example, the church rooms and where possible at convenient times.
Make known to all parents the systems for registering enquiries, complaints and suggestions.
Provide opportunities for parents to learn about the ’Early Years Foundation Stage’ and about young children’s learning, in pre-school and at home.
Welcome and respect all contributions from parents.
We have a fundraising team who raise funds to provide the children with a summer outing and to help towards the provision of toys and equipment. All money made through fundraising events is invested back into the pre-school.
There is an opportunity for all parents to get involved in fundraising if they wish to do so. Children thrive at pre-school when they see their parent/carer involved with any aspect of the pre-school.
